We are back home in Romania since 6 months ago.
Meanwhile, we had some experiences (more or less unpleasant) at the German custom, then on the Romanian under construction roads during a dark night and, of course, on the process to registry our car according to the new law, not very clear at the beginning.
When we start our journey back home, we had some expectations:
- find good jobs
- get back to our families
- go out more often with our friends
- develop as professionals
Unexpected was the fact that I found a job (in HR) sooner than my friend (in IT). Probably I was at the end of spring hiring wave and I was lucky. The summer was dead, we thought it was the summer holiday time and hiring managers went on leave. Unfortunately not even the autumn wave hasn’t changed situations.
His experience, studies and certifications guarantee his knowledge, his great exposure to the newest technologies and projects, but it seems that Romanian hiring market can’t offer him a job according to all mentioned previously.
Going back to my expectations, only few have been met: seeing more often my family and having a job (I have to admit that I really enjoy it), but my spare time is spent almost the same as we did abroad, lack of friends. I don’t know if it’s my fault because I haven’t go out that much I used to do or things have changed in the time I was out.
Who knows?!
All the best!
